What is MUN?
A Simulation of Real-World Diplomacy
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation in which students represent delegates of UN member states and debate pressing international issues in structured committee sessions — mirroring the actual procedures of the United Nations.
Participants research their assigned country's foreign policy, draft resolutions, deliver speeches, negotiate with other delegations, and vote on binding documents — all within the framework of international diplomatic protocol.
Founded on the belief that tomorrow's leaders need today's practice, MUN at Nottingham Academy is designed to challenge, inspire, and equip young people with the skills to navigate an increasingly complex world.
